Summary
In Chapter 15, in the present, as Paul travels to the gated community where Warren and his current wife, Agnes, live, Paul thinks about how Warren tried for a career in golf after his baseball career ended. Even in gold, Cubs fans heckled him during competitions, ruining his concentration and ending that career. Warren also got into fights at bars and stores when people recognized him. He often used cash so people would not know who he was.
Paul is surprised by how healthy Warren still looks. He is not surprised that his father is still self-centered and narcissistic. Paul tells his father that he saw Joe Castle and that he wants Warren to go and apologize to Joe so they can both have closure.
