Chapters 46-50 Summary

In chapter 46, Anita descends into the basement with Wren, Tucker and Reynolds. The water is high and only a few caskets are visible. Wren and Tucker are able to get the vampire in the first casket into a body bag for safe removal, though Wren steps into Anita's line of fire at one point. The next casket is more difficult as the vampire is larger. The vampire suddenly awakens, biting Wren. Within seconds all are under attack and Anita is shooting vampires as they attack her and others. Anita passes out as she fires into the face of yet another vampire.

In chapter 47, Anita awakens to find herself in the hospital with Larry at her bedside. Larry tells her that Tammy and Wren had survived the attack because the Traveler had taken possession of the vampires and stopped them from killing...
