In the seventh chapter, Harmony allows Jondoe to come inside. He has read her file and knows all about her. He is very handsome and Harmony is tongue-tied, a fact that makes him laugh. In the eighth chapter, Melody says there is a blind on the MiNet at school and that if it hadn't been for that blind, her parents would have known the day had been a complete academic loss. She says a group of cheerleaders - genetically engineered to be similar in size and appearance - had participated in a group sex party the previous night, all hoping to be pregnant though only one returned a positive test during first period.
