Arlee Warriors

The Arlee Warriors is the Arlee high school basketball team. When Streep first arrives in Montana, he plans on writing a story about the team and about its star player, Phil Malatare. The more time he spends in Arlee, the more Streep realizes the role the Warriors play in their community. The team plays for their community, and the community relies on the team for a sense of connectivity and collectivity. The Warriors also give the boys a sense of belonging and family.
