Ciudad de Tres Hermanas
Ciudad de Tres Hermanas is a fictional town in the American Southwest. The exact location of the town is never stated. After leaving her homeland and immigrating to the United States, Rosalinda settled in Tres Hermanas with the help of the immigrant community there. She had two children but never married. She raised her son and daughter there and was eventually seduced by the Explorer. Years after she broke up with the Explorer, she died of an unstated illness. Rafa has spent most of his adult life traveling the world, while Rufina has remained in Tres Hermanas. Rufina and Rafa spend time together in Tres Hermanas for multiple months to grieve the death. At the end of the novel, Rufina leaves the town and Rafa stays.
