Chapter 55 Summary
Having already said his goodbyes, Odd chose to leave while the Brothers would be at Mass and the Sisters would be busy getting the children up and ready for the day. The Cadillac pulled up to the guest house, and Odd hurries to tell Ozzie not to bother getting out, but it is too late. Odd puts his bags in the trunk, and after closing it, Odd is surprised to see that all the Brothers were gathered quietly on the steps along with Sister Angela and a dozen of the nuns. Sister Angela unrolls a piece of paper—Jacob had drawn Odd and given it to Sister Angela to put on her wall.
