Chapter 50 Summary
Stepping into John's Mew, Odd and Romanovich take the seats obviously prepared for them. Odd sees no traces of hostility or suspicion in Brother John's eyes, and he greets Odd as warmly as ever. Rodion reintroduces himself as an agent of the NSA. He offered identification to back it up, but Brother John asks Odd's opinion instead of looking at it. Odd confirms. Brother John confirms everything Rodion has already heard. He tells Rodion and Odd that he's created a model that reveals the deepest structure of what we understand as reality. Under all the apparent chaos there is order again, the order of thought. He knows the model is correct because he has applied it and it works. The model was created by the computers after inputing all the relevant data to eliminate human bias entirely.
