Chapter 35 Summary
Odd drove his SUV out behind Rodion, and Elvis materializes in the seat beside him. Elvis changes from one outfit to another. Odd tells Elvis he's been a blessing to him in a really hard time and nothing would make him happier than to be a blessing to him back. Elvis knew what he meant. With nothing left to say, Odd pulls out into the cold winter wind.
Chapter 35 Analysis
As soon as Odd pulls out of the garage, Elvis materializes. He makes Odd laugh, wearing some of his more silly costumes and then tells Odd that he was the one who taught him how to laugh at himself. Odd is touched, and Elvis continues his pantomime in the passenger seat, changing from one outfit to another, finally settling on the doctor's outfit he wore in Change of Habit.
