Chapter 6 Summary
Odd asks Brother John about his project. Can it get out of hand and create chaos? He answers it might but might not. Brother John tells Odd that his gift is God-given and he feels obliged to pursue it. Brother John works with intellect only, while Odd relies on a sixth sense when the dead came to him for help. Suddenly Odd finds himself at the door. The door closes, and in the courtyard, he sees snowflakes. For a brief moment, life is beautiful and right. The feeling lasts until he hears the scream.
