Chapter 21 Summary

Daniel decides he must personally take his warning of impending violence to Jesus. Joel, knowing that Jesus is aware of the message already, scolds Daniel by telling him Jesus has been given the same message by others and that he continues to preach his vision of peace and understanding anyway.

When, by chance, Daniel and Jesus meet and Daniel begins to tell Jesus of his concerns, Jesus changes the subject immediately and asks Daniel what troubles him. Daniel tells Jesus that everything he has tried to do has failed, and that he does not know where to turn. Jesus asks Daniel what he has been living for and Daniel tells him that he wants to free his people, and get vengeance for his father's death.
