Relationships

One of the primary themes running through the novel is relationships. The novel reveals that even the individuals that make up a family have different relationships among the family members. For example, Elena seems to be very close with each member of her pack family, but Clay seems to have a few members, alive and dead, that resent him for turning Elena into a werewolf.

Friendship is another type of relationship the novel tackles. It seems as if the pack members are not only "family" but are also very closes friends.
