Homeward Summary

The next morning, Elena finds Jeremy scouring the newspapers for any indication of last night's events. The news in print and on TV is reporting the power outage as a blown transformer that has been fixed, which restores power to the Cabbagetown area. They do realize that they might have unleashed Jack the Ripper but still make plans to return home. Elena asks to see the letter but Jeremy says it's packed. He says he doesn't want to hand it over until he can repair it from Elena crumpling it slightly the night before and from the blood of the dead mosquito that dropped on it after Clay killed the mosquito on Elena's arm.
