Victoriana Summary

Clay and Elena convince Jeremy that they could all use a walk in the city and a coffee drink. They decide to walk through Cabbagetown, which is a Victorian area of the city. Elena is carrying the letter in a plastic bag in her backpack purse for safekeeping. They sit down to examine it on the curb.

As they decide to head back toward the hotel, they notice stem rising up out of a crack in the asphalt. A transformer above explodes and Jeremy pushes Elena out of the way of the falling and sparking transformer. All the lights in the city go out, but they can see and smell a man with a bowling hat, missing front tooth and a heavy English accent.
