Chapters 23 and 24 Summary

In Chapter 23, wardani continues to work feverishly on her drawings, sketches and plans for infiltrating the gate. It seems as if the nanobes, which are the things in the nanosystem, have engaged because it is causing Kovacs to throw up and feel sick. They expect the other crew members to start feeling the symptoms soon. Sutjiadi is ready to fight the nanobes, but they need to make sure Wardani is ready to infiltrate the gate first. Wardani and Kovacs talk about opening the gate, Kovacs telling Wardani she only has about four days left until the nanobes reach them. Wardani says she believes she has analyzed everything she needs to open it and she tells Kovacs to let Hand know she'll be ready in two days.
