Chapters 21 and 22 Summary

In Chapter 21, when Kovacs wakes up at 5 am, he sees Schneider toweling off from a shower and brushing his teeth. Schneider says its Jiang and his martial arts that woke him up, so Kovacs gets up to get ready for the day too. When Kovacs emerges from the living quarters, he sees a breakfast table piled with food, so he invites Jiang to join him. Jiang and Kovacs talk about Kovacs's former life as an Envoy soldier. They discuss the difference between being a soldier and the mission they are on now. Sutjiadi calls for a meeting, so when Kovacs finishes breakfast, he heads to the meeting and Jiang goes to shower and change for the meeting.
