Chapters 9 and 10 Summary

In Chapter 9, Kovacs is meeting with Matthias Hand at the auction house. Kovacs throws Deng's cortical stack on the table between them and Hand puts it in his pocket. Kovacs negotiates a deal with hand to fund the excavation of the Martian ship.

In Chapter 1, Hand, Kovacs, Schneider, and Wardani go on a virtual tour of Dangek, which is where the Martian ship is buried. They discuss the details on where the ship is buried under a collapsed ledge. They also discuss the ways in which the ship could or would have been buried. In addition, they discuss the manpower required to uncover the ship without attracting too much attention.
