Chapters 3 and 4 Summary

In Chapter 3, Lieutenant Kovacs and Corporal Schneider land on Sanction IV and ask to interrogate one of the detainees from the internment camp. The lieutenant is taken to see the commandant. The lieutenant requests one of the detainees, which is a woman archaeologist, Tanya Wardani. The commandant grants the lieutenant permission to take the archaeologist from the planet. The commandant also mentioned that the archaeologist is a popular woman. Tanya Wardani is brought to Lieutenant Kovacs and Schneider. They get in the space shuttle and leave the planet.

In Chapter 4, as the spaceship shadow flies West, Kovacs notices Tanya Wardani had the luck of War Shock Syndrome. As they prepare to land, the shuttle they notice there are some mines in the water that start shooting at them, so they prepare to fight back. As the lieutenant and Schneider fight back...
