Anna 'Patty' Duke
Patty Duke is an actress who rose to fame at twelve when she was the youngest actress to win an Oscar for her role as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. Patty then went on to have a successful television show before moving into a movie career that has spanned forty years. As a child, Patty was raised by her mother after her father, an alcoholic left. While still young, Patty's mother gave up custody of her daughter to John and Ethel Ross, a married couple who managed young acting talent.
