Summary

Chapter 6

Gary follows Donna Dee to her car in the school parking lot and questions her about Jade. Something strange is going on, and Gary is determined to get to the bottom of it in any way possible. Jade has been absent from school for a long period of time, and people are behaving strangely toward Gary. Gary confronts Donna Dee, knowing that she has answers.

Donna Dee becomes hostile and evasive when she is questioned by Gary. Gary loses his temper, an occurrence that is very rare. Gary demands to know what is going on with Jade. Donna Dee tells Gary that she and Jade are no longer friends. Gary is shocked. Donna Dee leaves the parking lot in a rush.

Gary goes to Jade’s house. Jade answers the door, and Gary is happy to see her and happier to know...
