Chapter 56, He's Ours! Summary
When Patrick says he has a new short story for Terence to read, the nurse tells him that "The doctor won't be coming in anymore!" Patrick is initially very angry about this news, and wants to burn all his short stories. Charlie gets married to a man named Doug, who was an art student at Slade College. They have three children. Patrick does not find his mother, even after scouring all of London. He gives up his escort business and sells all his hooking clothes. Patrick spends his days flipping through magazines for pictures of Mitzi Gaynor, and dreaming about waking up in the hospital one day, surrounded by all his friends and family, who say, "He's ours!"
