Chapter 55, We Leave Tyreelin Forever Summary
Soon after the hair-lighting incident, Brendan or Smigs and Martina Sheridan's brother, steal Patrick's dresses off his washing line, presumably. Several days later, Patrick finds his clothes in the garden, tattered and dirty. Squire is found dead, with barbed wire wrapped around his neck. Not wanting to make her more depressed, Patrick says that Squire ran away. Because of Squire's disappearance, Charlie begins to recover; Patrick believes that she just couldn't get any lower, so the only direction left to go was up. They visit Irwin's grave and Charlie describes what it was like seeing his body in the morgue.
