Chapter 26, "My Name's Not Eily Bergin!" Summary
While Louise is shopping, Patrick walks the streets of the town, approaching strangers and asking if their name is Eily Bergin. Patrick reminisces about his ex-psychologist, Terence, who had once said, "I think the truth is, Patrick, is that you always secretly wanted to become her, Eily." Patrick loved Dr. Terence Harkin and was disappointed on the day that the doctor was replaced by another doctor. Following his ex-psychologist's advice, Patrick wrote his thoughts in the form of short stories.
