Patrick spends his days thinking about getting a vagina and then giving birth to ten children. He thinks of all his children surrounding him on his deathbed, grateful that he was such a good mother. Patrick and Dummy continue their love affair until Dummy, whose real name is Eamon Faircroft, is killed. Patrick does not attend the funeral out of consideration for Faircroft's wife.

While drinking one evening at a local bar called Mulvey's, local residents crack jokes about Eamon's death.
