Andy McNab, Sergeant, SAS
Andy McNab, Sergeant, SAS, was an orphan from South London who was raised by adoptive parents. He joined the Army when he was 16 years old to keep himself out of trouble. By the time he was in his 30s, he was a Special Forces commander participating in the Gulf War. He loved the thrill and adventure of the lifestyle that came along with being a soldier. When times got tough, he just figured this was part of his job and what he got paid for. Andy enjoyed being a leader, and he took his responsibilities seriously. This did not mean that he was perfect, however. Sometimes he made errors and he truly regretted them, but learned from them and moved on.
