Chapter 10 Summary
Slick and Dyson are visited by Agent Dufresne who tells them that he began looking into the matter that Jenna had called him about. His Special-Agent-in-Charge, Ben Aaronson, told him not to discuss it on an official level. He called Jenna to warn her but she hasn't returned his call. Slick is worried about Jenna's safety and asks Dufresne to contact the FBI office in Fort Myers and ask them to provide protection for her. Slick warns him that if something happens to Beth, he will hold Ben and him personally responsible. Reluctantly, Dufresne agrees to "get her out of there." (147)
