In chapter 1 of part 3, school has begun again and Cory finds himself sitting in front of the Demon, a little red haired girl who likes to pick her nose and put boogers on those she likes. Cory tries to ignore her, but finds it difficult. One day after school, Cory goes home and learns that the mayor would like to see him. Cory goes to the mayor's office and answers questions about his story. It is raining outside so the secretary comes back to borrow an umbrella. When she searches the closet in the mayor's office, Cory sees the hat with the green...
