Summary
In Chapter 31, Oliver asks Luc what is wrong, but Luc snaps. He thinks he has told Oliver too much and that every mistake always gets blasted in the media. He says Oliver convinced Luc things could be different, but now he knows it never can be. Oliver tries to comfort Luc, but he demands Oliver leave, calling himself a jerk.
Hurt, Luc calls Bridget and tells her about the article in the Guardian and what he said to Oliver. When Bridget reads it, she calls it foolish, even though Luc thinks it proves he is worthless and never meant to have a normal life. He manages to explain that he was happy with Oliver but thinks he has to accept he cannot have a good life. Bridget disagrees and points out that he chose to break up with Oliver, the article did not...
