Summary

In “Will,” Irina and Flo prepare for a night out. Irina silently judges Flo’s appearance and weight. Their friend Finch arrives. They drink and do drugs, arguing about which ones affect them and how.

From BeerHaus, the friends head to Universal Subject. On the way, Irina reads Will’s text invites to a party at his house later. In the bar bathroom, Irina snorts coke off her fingers, afraid of using the toilet seat (71). Back in the bar, Irina judges all of the white people dancing like white people. She joins her friends on the patio, feeling annoyed with everything Flo does and says. Like “a lot of people [their] age” Flo blames “everyone else for her shit” (76)

The friends head to Will’s. In the Uber, Irina chats with the driver about Lord of the Rings. Her friends tease her...
