Chapters 40 through 42 Summary

In Chapter forty, Kylie realizes she's in Daniel Brighton's body and that Della has joined in the fight. Burnett arrives and demands answers. All of them try to take the blame in order to protect the others. Derek then announces that Sky had been involved - information he'd gotten from the animals. Sky admits that she was involved but says it was because a group of vampires are holding her sister and she fears for her sister's life.

Back at the camp, Holiday is angry that the teens put themselves in danger. Kylie finally has enough of the situation and stands up to both Holiday and Burnett. She says the two were trying to protect the teens and, while that's admirable, the result was the teens were left with no solid information about a situation that affects them greatly.
