Chapters 24 through 28 Summary

In Chapter twenty-four, Kylie tries to question Holiday and Holiday asks if Kylie is accepting that she's supernatural. Kylie insists that she isn't ready to believe that but says she wants to be as prepared if possible in case it turns out to be true. Holiday is evidently exasperated with Kylie's insistence that she isn't and Kylie tries to justify it, saying that neither of her parents are supernatural and reminding Holiday that most cases of supernatural powers are hereditary. Holiday assures Kylie that the ability to communicate with ghosts is reserved for "those with worthy spirits, good hearts, and courage." Kylie doesn't consider herself a courageous person and thinks Holiday must be wrong. Kylie is obviously searching for answers now and asks what species she might be.
