Chapters 7 through 11 Summary

In Chapter seven, Holiday calls Perry Gomez to the office, and introduces him as a shapeshifter. Holiday challenges Kylie to decide what Perry should become. Kylie suggests a unicorn. Perry hesitates, saying unicorns aren't real but Holiday assures him they are merely extinct. She says Perry should imagine "a horse with a horn" and Perry, in a cloud of "floating glitter," turns into a unicorn. In Chapter eight, at Holiday's direction, the unicorn disappears and Perry returns to his human form. Holiday says the campers can leave but asks Kylie to remain behind. Holiday says Kylie is at the camp because she's gifted. Kylie doesn't agree and asks Holiday to define her gift.
