Summary

In Chapter 10: "Full-Tilt Boogie," Charlie is dumbfounded at how easily Vince killed Hermes as his shadow tries to break free. Charlie realizes it is likely a Blight; the manifestation of the pieces that gloamists put into their shadows. When it attacks her again, Charlie throws a candle at it while Vince takes the body to his van. At first, she thinks that he is calm because he cleans up crime scenes, but realizes that he must have killed someone before and knows more about the world of shadow magic. Odette returns and Charlie says he was looking for Paul but does not reveal she accidentally called him to Rapture.
