Summary
In Chapter 31, Nora and her family go to dinner in Asheville which Libby tries to compare to New York. Nora texts Charlie about things they miss in New York as Libby tells Nora she has a surprise for her. The next day, Libby takes her to an empty home near the woods. After Libby excitedly describes how the house will be revamped, Nora says Libby could never live there because her life is in New York. However, Libby reveals that Brendan got a job in Asheville and they are closing on the house at the end of the week. The lawyer Sally mentioned was actually a friend who could recommend schools in the area. Nora asks how Libby could give up all of the opportunities in the city and asks why she did not know.
