Summary

In Chapter 12, Nora wakes up from a nightmare and goes on a run to clear her head. When she returns, Libby shows her the dating profile of a man named Blake and says Nora needs someone who can appreciate her. After Libby admits that she already scheduled a date, Nora meets him at Pappa Squats as Libby hides among the patrons. Blake is shocked at how tall she is and Nora thinks that many men are too insecure to date a tall woman. She orders martinis, even as Blake says he does not drink.

In Chapter 13, Nora says the date is pointless while Blake desperately tries to convince himself she is wife material. Charlie enters, much to Nora’s horror, and joins her at the bar as Blake is distracted by another woman. After a brief argument over who rejected whom, Charlie leads...
