The Books of Her Victims

The books Maren takes from her victims are a symbol of her dark compulsions. Like a serial killer who collects tokens, Maren obsessively collects the books (and, when she cannot find a book, other random objects) of her victims and carries them with her everywhere she goes, even when travelling by bus or hitchhiking with just a rucksack.
