Summary
Chapter 4 “A Place to Sleep by Day” Joe, Simon, and Kerewin go to a set of beach cabins owned by Kerewin’s family. The next day, Joe tries to improve his mood and he and Kerewin go for a walk. At this point, Simon gets mad and hides in one of the bedrooms. When Simon goes outside, he is still angry and he rips up the note Joe had left for him. Kerewin tries to calm Joe down, saying he should just ignore Simon and he is just throwing a temper tantrum. She also lets Joe know she is aware of what happens when Joe lets his own temper get the better of him. Simon further antagonizes Joe by spitting at him and Joe grabs Simon. Kerewin gets in between them and tries to break up the argument, only to find herself fighting with Joe...
