Phoney Strikes Back or Solstice; Book Six: Old Man's Cave Summary

In the prologue, Fone and Smiley are lost when Ted the bug arrives and gives them the rundown of the lynch mob that Phoney was leading to destroy the red dragon. Ted agrees to take them back to Barrelhaven.

In chapter one, Thorn and several other villagers that are out looking for survivors hide when two patrols of rat creatures meet. Thorn listens to them talk about looking for the Bone creature with the star on its chest or the princess. When Thorn and the others return to Barrelhaven, they find that the entire village is gone. The villagers turn on Phoney and threaten to string him up, but Thorn stops them. Thorn and the others are discussing what to do when several holy men...
