Point of View
The story is written in third person point of view. The story has a limited omniscient point of view proven by the fact that there are many different characters that are followed but the thoughts and intentions of others are not known. The areas where the reader is allowed to see and what the reader is allowed to know is limited by the characters that are shadowed. This gives the reader enough information to have glimpses of what may be coming but doesn't reveal the ending that is coming.
The story focuses greatly on the character Tommy Pagana. The view will be of him trying to distance himself from the situation he finds himself in with his uncle. Tommy's view is one of a young man that knows where he wants to be in life but finds that he has lost the drive to get there...
