Chapter 10-14 Summary
As chapter ten begins, Tommy is walking home thinking about Sally and the last time he had done a favor for Sally. Tommy had sold illegal firecrackers when he was still in school. Tommy had got busted with the fireworks and spent a couple of hours in jail. His mother had come to get him and Tommy had been ashamed. Tommy's father had been involved with the mob organization and had suddenly "disappeared". It had been Sally that had supported Tommy and his mother and got Tommy his first cooking job. Tommy had met a girl who had shown him a life that was so much more than Tommy had ever thought about. Despite all this Tommy knows, he is just going to have to help Sally get what he wants.
In chapter eleven Tommy is alone in the chef's office...
