Importance: The kidnapper asks Roza this same question every day and of course her answer is always no. He thinks Roza is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and wants to marry her but she is rightly repulsed by him.
The man was tall. And he was so still. I've never seen anyone that still. But when he finally moved, he moved like a cornstalk twitching in the wind.

Importance: Finn's thoughts revert to Roza all the time and he thinks about the man who took her, noting how still he was. When the man did move it reminded Finn of how a cornstalk would move in the wind. Finn relates most things to elements of nature and even though Finn can't remember what the man's face looked like, he very distinctly recalls how the man moved.
