Summary
Torey lies in bed, thinking about the tough lives of people like Ali and Bo, and Creed, too. Would any of his friends change if they had to walk in their shoes? He waits as long as he can, but after he’s sure his folks have settled down, he goes to Ali’s room, where they read Creed’s diary.
Creed wrote about his beautiful girlfriend Isabella, who lives in the nearby town of Margate. Ali and Torey are struggling to read his handwriting, then Torey loses patience and turns to the final entry, where Creed has listed ten things good in his life. Ali wants to find some hint that Creed’s mom was responsible for his disappearance, and maybe his death.
