Chapter 4: The Little People Summary

Returning to Phaze, Stile uses magic to transport himself back to the Blue Demesnes, where Neysa greets him and Lady Blue informs him of Hulk's return. Hulk relays the Oracle's message that Stile can only defeat the Herd Stallion by obtaining the Platinum Flute, but no one understands this vague prophecy. Luckily, on his way to the Oracle, Hulk met Voldevile, a vampire whose son is allergic to blood, who explains that most metal tools, weapons and instruments are made by the Little People, the Tribes of the Dark Elves. Lady Blue is outraged that Stile intends to seek the Little People because they are difficult to find and detest normal men, especially Adepts, making the mission very dangerous.
