Chapters 37-41 Summary
In chapter 37 Jean Claude arrives, startling Janos. Jean Claude refused Serephina's personal invitation. Janos decides not to argue the point as long as Jean Claude and the others will attend the "party" willingly. Janos and his group fly, stunning Larry. Jeff Quinlan is taken with them. Anita and the others walk back to the jeep where Jean Claude has left clothes for Larry and Anita. They change and Anita arms herself with knives and guns. Jean Claude watches, seemingly amused. They pile in the jeep and head to Serephina's. Anita tells Jean Claude about Rawhead and Bloody Bones and Serephina's plans. Jean Claude tells Anita that Serephina lusts for power and wonders how the vampire has gotten as powerful as she is. Janos is very powerful but has chosen to follow Serephina.
