Chapters 31-36 Summary
In chapter 31, Anita wakes up from a disturbing dream of her mother. Upon awakening, Anita still smells the perfume her mother work, Hypnotique. Disturbingly, Larry smells it as well. It seems Serephina has invaded Anita's dreams. Larry and Anita discuss their upcoming meeting with Dorcas, and Anita wonders why Stirling wants to kill Magnus. The Fairie is not the only Bouvier wishing to stop the development; killing Magnus would not solve Stirling's legal problems. Larry is confused about Serephina's reasoning for helping get back Jeff Quinlan. Anita explains that Xavier has challenged her authority by killing in her territory. Despite all that has happened, Anita can see no reason to alert the authorities to Serephina's whereabouts. They have no reason to arrest the Master.
In chapter 32, Anita and Larry meet Dorcas at the restaurant. Magnus is not with her, and Dorcas...
