Chapters 6-10 Summary
In chapter six, Anita and Larry drive to the scene. Larry is excited and nervous about his first trip to a murder scene, and Anita tells him to keep in the background and behave himself. Concerned that he might get sick, Anita tells him to make sure that he does not vomit on the victim as she had once. Larry wonders if the scene will be awful. Anita tells him that with three victims missing body parts, it is pretty likely.
In chapter seven Anita meets Sergeant Freemont, the lead investigator at the murder scene. Fremont is not happy about Anita being on the scene and expresses derision when Blake cannot immediately identify what has killed and dismembered the three young male victims, very violently. When Anita comments that they need to be watchful before someone else is killed, she judges...
