The vampire driven from the city, the Emperor returns to his role as leader of San Francisco. Cavuto and Rivera look at the priceless statue that they took in exchange for letting the vampires go and make plans to retire and open a rare-book shop. Meanwhile, Tommy admires the two bronze statues in the loft. He has electroplated Jody and the vampire with the help of his downstairs neighbors.
The vampire healed after drinking Jody's blood, and the two sat talking in the bedroom all night. In the morning, Tommy went about his plans. He has drilled holes in brass around Jody's ears so that she can hear him, and he explains that he's got money from Lash fencing the artwork from the boat. He doesn't want Jody to leave, and he believes the vampire will kill...
