Chapters 23 and 24 Summary

In Chapter 23, it is the night of Jill's fashion show. At the end of the show, Adrian confronts Sydney about not telling him that the financial aid isn't coming through for his college classes. Sydney leaves to go to Keith's apartment to get away from the argument with Adrian, and to see if there are any chemicals that were left behind that she might use. While Sydney is there, she looks in the yearbooks that laurel handed to her before she left the fashion show, in exchange for leaving Jill alone. Sydney realizes that the girl killed at Amberwood was not a Moroi, but a regular human. Lee knocks on the door. They're talking when Sydney comes across a prom picture of the dead girl with her date—and her date is Lee. Lee takes Sydney hostage with the knife...
