Chapters 17 and 18 Summary

In Chapter 17, Sydney decides she must report the tattoo issue to the Alchemists, but first she needs to run some tests to identify what some of the mixtures are. In retaliation for the teasing that Jill is taking from Laurel, one of her PE classmates, Jill uses her power with water to freeze the water when Laurel is showering one day after gym class. Sydney picks Adrian up to take him to his job interviews. Adrian tells Sydney that he knows where he knows Micah from now—that Micah looks like a Moroi, Mason Ashford, who was involved with Rose and killed in an attack. When Sydney returns to the dorm after dropping Adrian off at Clarence's house, she finds Eddie, Micah and the police at the dorm because Jill is missing.
