Chapters 4 - 6 Summary

Arrango and Walters are the officers that are responsible for the case involving Graciela's sister and McCaleb knows he is going in naked, without a gun or badge, so he arrives with doughnuts and times his arrival early hoping to catch them both in. He meets Arrango first and senses immediate reluctance to talk to him. Arrango gives Terry ten minutes and ushers him into a room where Terry makes sure to put Arrango on his right in order to engage the cooperative side of the brain. It was a technique taught to him at Quantico, and Terry used it many times. Terry also has the advantage of knowing all of their tricks, including awareness of the tape and camera set up. He asks them for the murder book on Gloria Torres and suggests that with him taking a fresh look...
