Chapters 22 through 28 Summary

In Chapter Twenty-Two, Alex says that he hadn't given any credence to the fact that Woody might actually have been kidnapped by members of The Touch, but that he's now concerned that he might have been mistaken. He travels to the compound, finds a place to park well away from the gate and finds an armed guard at the gate. He makes a hissing noise and when the man sticks his arm through the gate, waving the gun around, Alex grabs his arm and puts him in a choke hold until he passes out. Alex then uses the man's clothes to tie him up and goes on to the inner part of the compound. He gets the opportunity to watch a group of people through a window. They are apparently at Matthias's command and he calls names, has them take snorts...
